Snowman World Tickets and Hours

Snowman World is the snow park of Santa Claus Village: a walled area of snow and ice behind the main square with two long ice slides for inflatable tubes, a children's slide, a small ice-skating rink, a snow labyrinth, snow and ice sculptures, an Ice Bar where drinks come in glasses made of ice, and the Snow Restaurant, where lunch and dinner are served at ice tables. It opens on 6 December 2026 and runs until 17 March 2027, weather permitting, and it is the most booked ticket in Rovaniemi on GetYourGuide (4.2 out of 5 from more than 1,100 reviews). One ticket covers everything in the park for the whole day; only food and drinks are extra.

What the entrance ticket includes

• Snow and ice slides with sliding tubes: a fast track for adults and teenagers and a shorter one for small children. Tube rental is included.
• Ice-skating rink with skate rental included. It is small and busy with children in the afternoon; it is at its best right after opening.
• Snow labyrinth, the snow and ice sculptures and an indoor ice slide.
• Ice Bar entry: drinks (alcoholic and not) served in ice glasses; when you finish, you throw the glass at a target on the ice wall.
• Snowman Disco, 17:00 – 20:00 in December and 17:00 – 19:00 from 7 January, with a DJ and at least one dancing snowman.
• Entry to the Snow Restaurant; meals are paid separately and should be booked ahead.

Not included: food, drinks, and the warm Café Ensilumi next door, which is open to everyone. Winter clothing is not provided, and the park is entirely outdoors or inside snow buildings, so dress for −15 °C even for a two-hour visit.

«Weather permitting» matters: a thaw or heavy rain can close the slides for a day. The ticket is valid all day, so if you arrive and a slide is shut, come back in the evening when the ice has hardened and the lights are on.

The Snow Restaurant menu

The lunch includes crispbread and oat bread with smoke-salt butter and a dessert of blueberry pie with vanilla sauce and meringue; the main course is a choice of creamy salmon soup with dill oil, smoked-cheese reindeer soup, tomato soup with croutons, pasta bolognese, chicken and blue-cheese pasta or cold-smoked tofu pasta with ratatouille. Everything is gluten- and lactose-free. The dinner is three courses: creamy parsnip soup with goat-cheese cream, then roast elk with carrot purée, braised Arctic salmon with crayfish sauce, peppered chicken breast or a falafel patty, and a strawberry-chocolate bavarois to finish. Children can swap the main for crispy chicken and fries or pasta bolognese. Tables are set on ice blocks covered with reindeer hides; the room stays around −5 °C, so the meal is a 45-minute experience rather than a long evening.

How long to stay and when to come

Families with children spend three to five hours; couples without children one and a half to two, mostly on the slides and at the bar. The best time is at opening on a weekday: a French family of five who came at 11:00 in February wrote that they had the rink almost to themselves and «almost no waiting at the tube». The afternoon between 14:00 and 17:00 in the Christmas weeks is the opposite, and several reviewers mention queues for the fast slide. After 17:00 the lights, the disco and the bar make it a different place: if you can only do one visit, make it 16:00 – 19:00.
